1983 BMW 635 CSi – M equipment
“Sharknose” or “Bayern-Express”: These were the nicknames of the M 635 CSi, which with 218 hp was also known as the “Porsche killer” because it could keep up with the 928 S, 930 or 944 Turbo in terms of performance. The M 635 CSi entered the race as the top model in the BMW series – the first six series, which was built from 1976 to 1989. At the time, the sports coupé was considered one of the fastest four-seater in the world, with an engine borrowed from motorsport. A superlative of one and a half tons.
