1994 Porsche 993 Tiptronic
The Porsche 993 is an automobile series from Porsche AG and the successor to the Porsche 964series. It is the last model of the Porsche classic 911 with the air-cooled boxer engine.
In 1993 the Porsche 993 Carrera was presented to the world public to replace the 964. The design by Harm Lagaay had some visual changes: For example, Porsche changed the profile of the front fenders on the 993 for the first time in 30 years of the 911. This made the front flatter and provided it with newly designed elliptical headlights. In addition, the bumpers were now fully integrated. The time of torpedo tubes as exhaust pipes was also over. To this day, many consider the Porsche 993 to be the most beautiful 911 of all time. A mix between the old and the new style, with enough comfort – a car for everyday use with good performance.
This neat Porsche 993 left the Porsche factory in January 1994. Robust, stable in value, extremely fast – and in possession of a title that no other vehicle could contest: the spearhead of air-cooled automobile construction.
